Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner

After watching my friend Sabrina apply a flawless line of eyeliner onto both eyes in less then 30 seconds, I had to inquire and invest in the Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in color #10-Ebene. The fine crayon-like tip makes this liner super easy to apply. I love that it glides on smoothly and is highly pigmented so you don’t have to go over it a million times to achieve a dark line. It’s also a waterproof formula, which makes it perfect for applying to the waterline and it doesn’t smudge when applied close to the lash line.
Although this liner makes a definite dark, black line unlike many other eyeliners that can look grey or blue, its definitely best for a more natural look because creating a thick line with the fine tip on this crayon can be challenging.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a liner to give your eyes great definition without being too harsh or if you’re in the market for a good everyday eyeliner, I highly recommend trying this one. It’s definitely pricey for an eye pencil (I bought mine in duty free) but it’s worth every penny. Buy it here.

Essie Nail Polish Combo: Chinchilly & As Gold As It Gets

Although I experiment with tons of polish shades on the regular, I always come running back to metallics. I love the look of silver, gold and iridescent digits because they feel like you’re wearing jewelry without being obviously blingy like some other nail art add-ons.
Bored with my current color collection, I decided to test combinations and whip up my own batch of metallic goodness. Luckily, I nailed (ha) exactly what I was going for on the first try. After applying a base, I adding one coat of Essie’s “Chinchilly” (which is this awesome granite gray). I could have added another coat but didn’t feel the need to since I was layering anyway. After letting the first color dry, I layered on Essie’s amazing new glittery top coat in “As Gold As It Gets” and it immediately enhanced the look.
Bottom line: Both of these products work fantastic alone and even better together. Buy!
NCLA Nail Lacquer - Hollywood & Vine Starlet

Ah, NCLA. This LA-based nail art company is a local hero of ours not only because they have a superior selection of polish and nail wraps (check these out), but because they take pride in their hometown. In fact, they have a themed range called The LA Collection, which features 17 Angeleno-inspired shades with clever names like “Mulholland Maneater” and “Rodeo Drive Royalty.” My favorite is “Hollywood and Vine Starlet” because it has this futuristic vibe that I never cease to gravitate towards when it comes to polish (and fashion for that matter).
This shade is perfect for anyone that wants to experiment with black polish, but isn’t trying to go goth. The super sparkly silver glitter adds just the right amount of pizzazz. If that’s not enough, all NCLA nail lacquers are 100% free of DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and are never tested on animals, ever.
Bottom line: If you love dark polish, shimmer and compliments, buy this nail lacquer here. I highly recommend pairing it with silver jewelry.

Chella - Balancing Mask Clay & Seaweed Treatment

I’m a sucker for anything that involves seaweed. Be it food, beverages or beauty products, if seaweed is an ingredient, I’m down. I use this Chella’s Balancing Mask every other week to deep clean pores and give skin a healthy dose of hydration. The formula’s consistency is more like whipped cream than thick lotion, which I definitely appreciate because I so hate the goopy feeling that some other masks leave behind. Plus, it smells so good that I’ve even convinced my fiancé to use it!
Bottom line: An easy-to-use mask for on-the-go facial buffs, and a great starter mask for newbies. But it here.

Here I am rocking my Chella. Just another wild Friday night!

Perricone MD - Nutritive Cleanser

This is my go-to cleanser right now. Emily Weiss of addictive beauty blog Into the Gloss first turned me on to Perricone MD in this post. While she’s a fan of the paraben-free brand’s more gentle cleanser, I love their nutritive formula because it’s packed with anti-aging antioxidants that firm and tone without stripping skin. It washes away impurities so well that I also use it as a makeup remover when time only allows for a one-two punch.
Bottom line: If your skin can handle powerful ingredients like DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid, buy this here. If your skin is a bit more sensitive and prone to breakouts, test out Perricone MD’s hypoallergenic gentle cleanser here.

Urban Decay - Naked2 Shadow Palette

After we gave away Urban Decay’s sold-out Naked2 palette on Racked, I had to pick one up for myself. I’ve been searching far and wide for the perfect palette of neutrals, so this guy is pretty much heaven for me. Every pigment-rich hue is ideal for everyday wear and is super easy to combine for various effects. My favorite shades are Foxy, Half Baked, Snakebite and Verve.
Bottom line: If you’re a neutral shadow fan, this is an absolute must. Buy it here.

Orly Cosmic FX - Space Cadet

Of all the nail polishes I own (and I own an embarrassing amount), I always come back to Orly’s Space Cadet. I discovered it approximately two years ago during a routine post-NYFW perusal of Beauty.com. (Every season, at least one designer includes a $10 Beauty.com code in their gift bag.) I was tirelessly searching for a bold iridescent polish at the time, so you can imagine my excitement when I happened upon Orly’s wondrous creation.
Naturally, it was love at first sight. When it arrived in the mail, I rushed to take off whatever stand-in polish I was wearing at the time and layered this baby on. The color transformation effect was instantly noticeable and became more vivid with every coat. Two coats was enough for me, so I then went outside to see what the effect looked like in the sun and OMG — it was as intergalactic, multi-dimensional and lustrous as I hoped it would be. I still love how amazed people get when they see it change colors at different angles. These snaps are kind of dark, but you get the idea:

Bottom line: On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s a 20. Buy it here.
